Probably the best BBQ I've ever had, and I've had a lot of BBQ. The brisket was so tender it melts in your mouth like butter. The deserts were phenomenal. The prices were reasonable for 5 star BBQ. Highly recommended for any BBQ lover.

Last couple of times I've ordered, I feel their toppings are very skimpy. You shouldn't just be eating cheese if you have pepperoni and mushrooms on it. Turbo crust is always good. Nice customer service which is appreciated.

Absolutely DELICIOUS! The ribs are A1, the Mac and cheese is banging and the corn bread is fire! 🔥🔥🔥 We had an amazing experience here, the service was great and it’s a great atmosphere for family. We will be returning VERY soon!

The service was quick, and the people that worked there were on point, and courteous. The ribs were tender and delicious. The sauces were very good as well. The baked beans and hand cut fries were excellent.

Currently my favorite tacos. The crispy shells are perfect every single time. Only available Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I hope Smoque never takes them off the menu. I've had them 6 weeks in a row already and fully intend on keeping my streak going. The other food is good too, but man these tacos. Also bread pudding and gumbo. All the stars.

I love the food here. Giving it 3 stars as take out and delivery service does not match up with quality of food ordered. My last delivery came 40 minutes later than scheduled. It was cold. I’ll keep coming back but no more deliveries

Curbside delivery this afternoon went off without any issues. The sliced Beef Brisket was plentiful and delicious. It came accompanied by both Sweet Carolina and Memphis BBQ Sauce. Both were thoroughly enjoyed. Enjoyed two sides of baked beans and slaw. Kind of sad that they didn't have their desserts available because they are delicious. Something to look forward to when this pandemic is finally over.

I have been going to Smoque since inception... Almost 15 years! Never have they failed me for good low and slow meats. In this BBQ fad, other shops have opened up to disappoint then close but Smoque will never fail me. Everything is good. Others claim there are better bbq joints but this is the original just like Katz Deli in Lower East Side. This is the grand daddy of them all!Favorite go to is the brisket sliced. If a BBQ joint refuse to serve sliced brisket, they do not smoke 'em right!

Stopped by here a couple of weeks ago with my contractor. While I was disappointed that they made us stand outside to order over the phone and waited on the hold for a while. I understand the policies and procedures put in place. I will however say that the curbside service being done is great and the food being produced is still amazing!

All the hype is justified, there’s nothing bad here. Portions are good sized, but not huge. I have a very big appetite, went in hungry, and left full.

We have been going to Smoque for years and years. The menu, staff, and service have been nothing less than phenomenal.

The food is consistently well prepared and yummy, employees gives good service. I really like the cleanliness and atmosphere. I highly recommend this spot.

Sliced brisket was out of this world good. All sides were underwhelming. I had beans, Mac n cheese and slaw. Wouldn’t recommend any of them. There was a police chase in the area when I was there. That added to the bbq experience

I went there for the first time in 2017 loves it great food went back 2018 okay different staff but some was old food still was okay just went in 2020 no good everybody was different lots of vinager in food. It looked like a cop spot. Not against cops but it was uncomfortable with like 20 plus all uniforms with guns and not friendly looking. All in all the food quality has gone down they need a new chef

We met with friends at this restaurant for lunch. This place was recommended to us by a friend. Well, it was a winning. The crew were very polite and we had a fantastic feeling. The food was just great. We loved this place a lot and we will definitely return to this restaurant. Keep it up.

Smoque BBQ's Brisket is one of the best brisket's I have tried in the city with their Carolina-Style BBQ sauce. It's savory taste being the PERFECT blend of sweet and tangy which goes great with everything. No complaints here and if you're from the South, this a beautiful reminder of home.

Came here mid-afternoon on a weekend. For dine-in, you order at the counter before being given a table. A no-frills restaurant with simple decorations and furniture. Had a chopped brisket platter with slaw, chili, and baked beans. While tender, the amount of fat in the cuts of brisket was variable with some slices very fatty and others lean. The fatty slices are so delicious! When hot, it practically melts in your mouth, coating all the surfaces with savory deliciousness. The sides were solid. I liked the chili more than the baked beans. Both had a surprising amount of meat but the smokiness of the baked beans was a little too much for me. The slaw was solid with crunchy veggies flavored with a mustard sauce to balance out the more greasy meats.

Worst experience ever! Do not waste your money here. Not only they are overprice, the amount of food is beyond minimal. We waited over 2 hours for over price disappointment.

Favorite BBQ in Chicago! Delicious sliced brisket! Love the cole slaw and beans! A true institution. Try to order in advance... Lines can be crazy.

This BBQ place is awesome! Good value, portion sizes are just right (the sides aren't obesity-inducing gigantic), sauces taste amazing, the sides taste good but doesn't outshine the meat, and best of all, the meat is served hot, tender and flavorful. Honestly, there's nothing bad to say about this place, except maybe how crowded it can get during peak hours. But that just supports the fact that it is, indeed, a very good restaurant. The parking space isn't that big so be prepared to go around the neighborhood to hunt for a spot. Good food, good price, will surely come back again.

This place clearly knows how to satisfy their customers. Regularly with a super friendly demeanor. The food is conveniently priced, regularly fresh and clean.

Ordered chicken and pulled pork and some brisket. Waited 30 mins and picked up food. Fast forward food was super delicious... will definitely be ordering here again! A++++

Just ordered from DoorDash and was blown away at how delicious every single thing was! Brisket, ribs, cornbread, macaroni, and bread pudding = all amazing. They even threw in a coleslaw, which I don’t always enjoy but this one was excellent. I’ll definitely be ordering from Smoque again soon!

BEST BBQ IN CHICAGO!!! Had the 1/2 and 1/2 sandwich, Mac n cheese (BEST mac n cheese I’ve ever had!), BBQ gumbo (AMAZING) and ended up eating half my friends Pecan bread pudding (I don’t even like bread pudding) and so ended up buying one to take home! SO delicious! Going to definitely be a frequent spot!

It was just okay. The baby back ribs were a little dry and the portion was small. Added a link for good measure with two sides. Not sure why they call that pathetic peach crisp a cobbler. I've been here several times before. The food has never been bad but this was just subpar enough at $30 for me to complain. Love the Memphis Style sauce. It has just the right amount of kick so I will give Smoque one more try.

Best ribs in town. Nothing special about the sides or brisket, but the St Louis ribs might be the best in the northern half of the state

The pulled pork and slabs were delicious. If you order over the phone a very easy process. It was just over all the perfect bbq spot.

No frills, wonderful BBQ in the Windy City. Order at the counter and they call your name. I got a half chicken, fries and corn bread and everything comes with slaw. The portion of natural-cut fries was huge and they were hot. A small tin of corn bread yielded a moist little side and the slaw was vinegar-based with a hint of sweet that really cleansed the palate. The chicken was smoky and juicy and the side of sauce for dipping was excellent.

Absolutely terrific ! I love it so much! Their pulled pork is insanely juicy and their Carolina and spicy Memphis sauce is so good! Their baked Mac and cheese is is to die for, as is their coleslaw and many other sides. They have this new gumbo that is so good as well! Excellent! You NEED to check it out! Especially you out of town folks visiting !

We ordered pick up and I was so impressed by how efficient they are! The brisket was delicious, definitely the star of our order. Mac and cheese and corn bread was good as well. We also loved the memphis bbq sauce. They included three in our order and I am so thankful they did. Our meat really did need the sauce, it was so flavorful on its own. But we have been using the extra sauces on chicken we grilled and it is amazing!! Thanks for such delicious food and great service!

I ordered food for fathers day... Over a hundred dollars worth.. Got all the way back to my suburban home and realized I was missing the cornbread and Mac and cheese... I called up Smoque right away they refunded me the money on those items and gave me 20 dollar gift card.. They went above and beyond... I highly recommend the food and the people here..

Amazing bbq. Had on a whim when in the city, and it was the best I’ve ever had. I will be driving from the burbs to come back here, it’s that good!

Best barbecue place in town. I get my 11 year old son this at least once a week on school days because she is always craving it. Everyone is so nice and polite. Love the service and staff! It gets really busy but it’s worth the time.

I like this restaurant! They serve first-cleass dishes, they have a rich menu, The cook in that spot is very experienced, I enjoy very much trying all their food. The dishes are always fresh and tasty, the service towards the guests is helpful. I visit often this restaurant and I was never unhappy. I recommend it to all my friends.

Saw this place in DDD! HAD to go there. They do not disappoint!

Went on a Tuesday evening around 6:30. It was crowded but didn't have to wait very long for a table for 2. They were out of baby back ribs at the time so that was disappointing but was happy with the St. Louis Ribs. Got sides of the chili and Mac and cheese. Not a big dining room so you're right next to other people but I'm so focused on eating it doesn't bother me at all.Staff is very efficient and helpful. This is my favorite rib joint up north.

Brisket was kind of dry- not tender, juicy or fatty, but I wonder if it’s because of poor meat availability during lockdown? The Mac n cheese and beans were pretty good and the cole slaw was plain. Loved the Carolina sauce.
